About the Wrights

Katy and I have been married for almost 7 years! What a joy! We live in southwest Florida now with our big dog Amos Moses and attend a church that stands on the gospel that joyfully praises and fears the Lord. I (Judd) have the blessing of serving at that church as the worship pastor and to see firsthand the people of God, singing the praises of God, for the glory of God each week. It’s breathtaking.  Katy taught special education for 5 years but now works stateside for a mission in Haiti that cares for “the least of these” (Matt 25:40).  Their desire is to follow Christ and bring life transformation to every man, woman and child in Haiti. God is doing something very special through these two ministries and we are thankful to be a small part.

By grace we were both born and raised in Georgia. That may seem like an odd thing to add but being from the south is a significant part of our story. We are southern. We were raised to love God, family, sweet tea, gardens, hard work, front porch swings and kindness. Praise the Lord.

Katy and I desperately love each other and out of our deep love we have a deep desire to care for children and to be parents but God’s timing has not yet made that a reality for us. We have experienced loss and much of it’s pain and it has changed us. To say that we have unflinchingly trusted God through infertility and pregnancy loss would be dishonest but God has been relentless in His pursuit of us. He knows us, He knows our needs and He is making us. We are thankful.

Each season of our marriage God has been faithful to meet our needs and to meet us in our needs.  We have learned more then we will probably ever truly know and we have grown. Lord, how we have grown. We have learned to love through grace, to find joy in pain, hope in loss, peace in mercy and we have found God in the midst of grieving (or maybe it was He who found us).  We are blessed.

We are the Wrights!
